Quality sound is essential to film and television production.
Sound enhances visuals by being transparent. Viewers should not be consciously aware of sound: they should experience a seamless connection between images and sounds.
Pristine, natural-sounding audio does not happen by accident. It takes precise listening skills, appropriate equipment, and the knowledge and experience to use that equipment properly.
On location, I use a fully-equipped location recording kit to capture the highest quality sound possible. During audio post-production, I use a combination of approaches: balancing dialog levels and tone quality, creating seamless ambiences, and (where required) adding foley and sound effects to heighten the reality of a scene.
I work as a local in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania; I am also available for travel worldwide. For reliable location sound recording, sound design, sound editing, or sound restoration services, contact me to discuss your specific needs.
